Carpets
Hand-knotting is distinct in its printing manner, which is done knot by knot and line by line. It involves paying close attention to each exquisite detail. The result is a rug with a very complicated design that is resilient and can be used in any place without hesitation.
The Weaving Method : Specialised looms are used to make hand-knotted carpets. Once a pattern for the rug has been decided upon, the rug sits on the loom. Vertical wraps are then created on the loom. Weavers tie knots on the warps and then cut them before going on to the next knot. After that, the weaver sets horizontal rows of wefts across the warps. This results in a piling effect. After weaving all of the knots, the weaver adds the wefts that give the rug its thickness. Wefts are constructed of silk, wool, or cotton. The weaver begins to make knots. He wraps a knot around the warps in the same row. The more knots there are, the more complicated the design.
