Meeting Global Standards

All of Kalaya’s endeavours are centred on compliance with global standards, whether it is with respect to human rights, environmental protection, or international trade.

1. Human Rights : At Kalaya, we respect Human Rights and the personal dignity of every individual we deal with, be it our employees, suppliers, or customers. It is our priority to not treat any person unfairly based on their gender, caste, religion, social status, disability, sexual orientation, or cultural background. Likewise, we do not tolerate abuse of power in the form of any kind of harassment against any individual.

2. Work environment : Kalaya is dedicated to fostering workplaces based on mutual respect, trust, and fair employment standards. We think that every employee has the right to be treated fairly, with civility, and with respect.

Managers are supposed to:

Be proactive and promote open communication.

Set specific and attainable goals. Employees should be given proper responsibility and empowerment.

Show their candour and honesty.

Exhibit exceptional personal behaviour and performance.

Make themselves available to employees.

Encourage employees to voice concerns.

Report suspected infractions and urge others to do the same.

3. Environmental Protection : Kalaya prioritises environmental protection and natural resource conservation. To fulfil these objectives, our environmental management systems must satisfy adequate technical requirements and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. We handle environmental concerns with prudence and pledge to encourage better environmental responsibility.

4. International Trade : The export of commodities is thoroughly regulated in Kalaya. We follow and support all rules and regulations that regulate how businesses provide products, services, and information. Any violation of trade regulations is taken seriously.
